The past year of 2016 has witnessed the 20th anniversary of the founding of the company. On occasion like this and on behalf of the group’s shareholders, the board and my family, I would like to extend my gratitude for your hard work and painstaking efforts over the years and particularly extend my appreciation of the outstanding performance you have achieved in successive years with the guidance of a responsible and dedicated team of professional managers.
20 years have passed with a mere snap of the fingers, during which black hair has turned grey, all the sweets and bitters of life have been tasted, all the joys, angers, griefs and happiness of life have been experienced. Established on the bank of the Yangtze River, Dongjue Silicone Group (DJS) has grown from a small company barely known to anyone into a leading enterprise in China’s silicone rubber industry. The transformation has been propelled by investors and leaders of DJS in the fullness of their heart, entirely-devoted men and women with high ideals and technical experts in the industry, and driven by the hard work of many front-line staff around the clock represented by outstanding workers, great support from countless loyal business partners striving forward alongside us as well as help from local governments at all levels. To remember history and heroes are DSJ men’s deep and heartfelt affection and also the soul and national integrity unforgettable to us as Chinese.
Though suffered from a sluggish Chinese economy and a weak global economy in 2016, we at DJS have fought our way ahead courageously against the odds in the year of 2016 with annual sales of 88,900 tons and a growth rate of 6.82%. More than 10,000 tons were directly exported to various clients from over 30 countries and regions across 5 continents. The annual sales revenue (tax included) stood at RMB 1.348 billion, up by 2.51%. The average number of staff for the year decreased to 906 by 1.95%. In addition, staff salaries and labor insurance and welfare paid in the same period recorded an 8.44% rise and reached RMB 76.77 million while taxes and fees 49.45% and RMB 51.06 million. The series of highlights prove DJS men’s unparalleled loyalty and passion towards the company and the country.
“Success is worth pride and the future anticipation”. For over 5,000 years, the Chinese people have always believed in diligence as the key to prosperity. Today we still believe that hard work leads to a fairly well-off life. We fight for ourselves, our relatives and families, for everything that deserves your love. Of course in today’s China, we tend to believe that real economy is the foundation of hard work, upon which our people are made rich, the country built and made powerful.
We are facing an era of enormous change. Maybe in several years, our descendants will have a clearer view of this era we live in. However, all the above-mentioned traditions will be passed along from generation to generation and will help China truly rise and promote the regeneration of the whole world. The increasingly rich and strong China will directly drive the prosperity of the global economy. We shall keep our original intent in mind, keep our courage and uprightness, stick to develop the real economy, take each step in a steady manner and contribute our part out of China’s massive group of real economy enterprises.
In the coming 2017, the red sun will rise from the east each morning, and we at DJS will stride forward with great vigor and continue to write our own history.
