In the second quarter of 2011, Dongjue Group has recorded a total sales amount of 12,210 tons (including 2,648 tons sold outside mainland China, which accounted for 21.69% of the total), dropped 5.61% compared to the same period of last year. During this quarter, its total sold of gum and insulating rubber were 2,438 tons and 1,378 tons, representing an increasing of 5.95% and 24.03% respectively from a year earlier. While the silicone compound sold was 8,394 tons, showing a decline of 11.86% from the same quarter of 2010.
For the first half of this year, the total sales volume has realized 26,147 tons (including 5,082 tons were sold outside mainland China, which took up 19.44% of the total), at the growth rate of 8.77% from the first half of 2010. Of the total sold, it includes 6,833 tons of gum and 2,473 tons of insulating rubber, increasing by 50.18% and 19.93% than that of the previous year respectively. For the silicone compound sold during this first half year, there has seen a decline of 3.36%, with the volume of 16,841 tons.
Influenced by the complex factors occurred in mainland China, such as widely macroeconomic regulation and control, credit crunch and electricity supply shortages etc, the overall market has been showning a slack demand from the end of last quarter. As the direct result, the total volume sold was not reached the target as expected in this first half year.
