In the third quarter of 2008, the sales volume of silicon rubber has amounted to 8,155 tons at the decrease rate of 13.8% y.o.y.. The main reason leading to this decrease is the worldwide financial crisis swept China and the downstream demand is sharply reduced. Specifically classifying，during the third quarter，with the amounts of 1,840 tons and 5,434 tons, the sales of silicone gum and silicone rubber have respectively decreased by 34.4% and 8.4% y.o.y., while the sales of 881 tons insulating rubber has increased by 22.6% y.o.y. mainly due to increasing market demand after snowstorm and earthquake as well as requirement from rapid development in the field of electric railway in China.
